Wear On Campaign - Window Display

I was commissioned by Skye Victoria Projects and Vans to come up with a window display for the Vans Camden Store during their Wear On campaign.
This Vans campaign is all about sustainability and making sure you’re wearing and loving what you already own and not buying new if you can help it. It’s about preserving our planet and doing our bit by caring for what we have.
When I got the brief, I knew straight away how I would put my spin on this campaign. I’ve been repairing old surfboards with my partner Mike and giving them a new life by painting them and then, obviously, riding them! It’s all about repairing and renewing. Ride on, wear on. Don’t just discard what you own or what you find because it doesn’t “look new”. There’s magic in finding something old and giving it a new life… So for this display, I chose to show this idea of Repair - Renew and I also painting this repaired surfboard live on the day of the installation. I wanted all of it to feel joyful and fun so I hope it came across this way as well!
